The Sony VirtuosoT/Soloist ® Language Learning System is fully digital and operates on Windows® based PCs connected through a local area network. Integration within your IT infrastructure is easily accomplished.

It is a truly DIGITAL System.
• Internet Protocol (IP) is used for all communication, control, content access and delivery, and monitoring
• Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) is used to transmit audio in real time.


No Additional Connecting Hardware is Necessary.
• Unlike other hybrid systems there are no "System Connection Boxes" needed to interface the Teacher PC and Student PCs.
• SANS high quality headsets with built-in microphones are connected directly into the Teacher and Student PCs. No external "Headset Adapter Boxes" are necessary.
• All communication and control is handled using standard Category 5 (CAT 5) network cable.

Lower Bandwidth Consumption
• Use of the Sony Long-term, Predictive Excitation Codec (LPEC) compression scheme for voice enables lower bit rates for each audio channel reducing the amount of data transmitted over the network.
