New options are now available for the Sony VirtuosoT/Soloist® Digital Language Learning System to enhance the teaching/learning of American Sign Language.
SANS has taken the fundamental real-time audio communication functions inherent to all Sony Language Learning Systems, including Student Monitoring, All Call, Student Modeling, and Intercom, and developed real-time video communication functionality based on the same basic interactive teaching modalities for use in ASL Programs, Interpreter Programs, and other courses of study using use "visual image" or "gesture" for communication.
With the ASL option for the Soloist software, students can work on their signing skills with the "video comparative recording" functionality. Using video cameras, students can view a video lesson or other video materials and simultaneously record their own signing. The student's video and the lesson video can be played back in sync, using two video windows, allowing the student to compare both to refine their skills.
There are several "video communication" options for the Virtuoso/Soloist Language Learning System. To determine the best solution for your ASL language program please contact us.
- Students can view a video file and record a video simultaneously, and then playback both in synchronization
